The Geotube® MDS (Mobile Dewatering System) solution placed in a standard metal containers was used effectively for sludge dewatering at an industrial wastewater treatment plant. It restored the optimum levels of matter in the system while promoting a significant reduction in the volume of sludge to be disposed of.
TenCate Geotube® dewatering technology allows the continue of sludge dewatering in a WWTP during periods of maintenance and/or breakdown of traditional mechanical equipment and also solves problems of sludge volumes above the installed treatment capacity.

Geotube® technology was successful applied to confine, store and dewater the sediments that had to be removed from a biological reactor. Complying with the specifications of the former JAE for drainage works, recognized as a reference, the non-woven geotextile TenCate Polyfelt TS-10 demonstrated once again its suitability and economic added value in the execution of a 40,000m2 industrial unit in the north of Portugal.
TenCate Geotube® sludge dewatering technology had been applied in a WWTP in order to solve the high solids concentration present in the system.
