History

Born in 2005, Geosin was founded to represent the world’s leading company of geosynthetics – Polyfelt Geosynthetics Group – in mainland Portugal and its islands.

After starting huge projects with big relevant names in the field of Civil Engineering and Public Works, in 2007, the company registers significant qualitative growth, complementing new business areas, especially as far as the textile industry is concerned with fabrics.

Even in 2007, after Royal TenCate acquired Polyfelt, GEOSIN becomes the representative of new technological solutions to different sectors in Portugal, particularly in the environmental area (waste and sludge treatment, coastal protection), with new techniques that proved to be innovative.

In 2015, GEOSIN Geosynthetics was founded, focusing its business area on geosynthetic materials and Geotube® systems.

In line with its sustainability objectives, in 2020, GEOSIN extended its range of Low Carbon Solutions dedicated to erosion control and slope stability with materials and systems from the American company PROPEX, its new represented company.

A year later, in 2021, our two represented companies were acquired by the multinational SOLMAX, making us proud representatives of the world’s largest geosynthetics manufacturer! The exacting quality standards to which GEOSIN subjects the choices of its represented companies is once again proven here!

Today, we want to continue to ensure that we maintain the highest standards of material quality and an excellent level of technical support for our partners!
