TenCate Geotube® dewatering technology enables effective dewatering of solid material with high moisture content. The high solid matter contents (solids concentration) achieved allows an easy sludge handling and ensure significant savings in transport and disposal.
Process and application simplicity is one of the great advantages of TenCate Geotube® dewatering technology. A Geotube® unit was deployed at a WWTP, allowing to quickly response to the high solids loading in the treatment system.
When the mechanical dewatering system failed, the Geotube® solution provided a quick and effective response to the dewatering problem at the WWTP. This made possible to continue dewatering process and keep the WWTP running smoothly.
TenCate Geotube® dewatering technology is being used to treat all the effluent produced from the stone production process. From the start of the project it was planned to change the configuration of the quarry. The Geotube® solution allowed this redefinition of spaces to be easily carried out due to its ease handling and adaptability.
Geotube dewatering technology was applied at WWTP to confine, dewater, and store solids removed from reservoir during a maintenance job. The Geotube® solution allows for rapid application and ensures a significant reduction in the volume of sludge to be disposed of.
Geotube® MDS® units are built to fit on standard open top steel containers. It simplify the control water coming out from the system and make easier the removal and transport of sludge to a final destination. This Geotube® type allows the dewatering of material with high moisture at a waste management plant arrival.
Complying with the specifications of the former JAE for drainage works, recognized as a reference, the non-woven geotextile TenCate Polyfelt TS-10 demonstrated once again its suitability and economic added value in the execution of a 40,000m2 industrial unit in the north of Portugal.
