Process and application simplicity is one of the great advantages of TenCate Geotube® dewatering technology. A Geotube® unit was deployed at a WWTP, allowing to quickly response to the high solids loading in the treatment system.
When the mechanical dewatering system failed, the Geotube® solution provided a quick and effective response to the dewatering problem at the WWTP. This made possible to continue dewatering process and keep the WWTP running smoothly.
TenCate Geotube® was used for a lagoon maintenace where the effluents from food processing plant are discharged. The Geotube® dewatering system brings numerous benefits to this kind application. It significantly reduces the volume of sludge to be removed and allows a long storage periods, which translates into significant economic savings due to the increased solids concentration achieved in the dewatered sludge.
TenCate Geotube® dewatering technology is being used to treat all the effluent produced from the stone production process. The Geotube® MDS (Mobile Dewatering System) solution placed in a standard metal containers was used effectively for sludge dewatering at an industrial wastewater treatment plant. It restored the optimum levels of matter in the system while promoting a significant reduction in the volume of sludge to be disposed of.
TenCate Geotube® dewatering technology allows the continue of sludge dewatering in a WWTP during periods of maintenance and/or breakdown of traditional mechanical equipment and also solves problems of sludge volumes above the installed treatment capacity.
Solid accumulation in biological reactors creates various problems in wastewater treatment systems. The TenCate Geotube® solution with TenCate Nicolon® low density impermeable geomembrane enables rapid and effective action to remove and dewater accumulated solids.
TenCate Geotube® technology makes better use of existing drying beds at many wastewater treatment plants. The Geotube® unit, applied over the drying bed filter , provides a second filter layer and allows triple the height of sludge stored in each drying bed.
